Monbeg Dude, the 2012 winner of the Welsh Grand National has been entered for the race once again this year.

Michael Scudamore, the trainer of Monbeg Dude, which is co-owned by rugby stars Nicky Robinson, James Simpson-Daniel and Mike Tindall is looking forward to a great race.

Phil Bell, Executive Director at Chepstow Racecourse, commented: "We are all looking forward to our premiere meeting of the year. The team has all worked so hard with the preparations, which include some fabulous entertainment throughout the day, with international opera stars Bryn Terfel and Rebecca Evans singing the National Anthem prior to the start of the feature race.

This meeting during the festive period always attracts a fantastic and enthusiastic crowd so I'm sure it'll be another great day to remember."
