Monmouth student Iwan Hadfield has been picked to represent Great Britain at the 2019 World Rowing Junior Championships in Japan.
The Monmouth School for Boys’ rower has been rewarded for his determination and commitment since joining the Sixth Form as a rowing scholar two years ago.
The 18-year-old will be rowing in the stroke seat of the Great Britain VIII at the state-of-the-art venue for the 2020 Olympic Games.
It is a wonderful fillip for the school rowing club, particularly in its 150th anniversary year, and all eyes will be on Iwan at the championships in Tokyo from August 7th to 11th.See the full story in this week’s edition of the Ross Gazette, or subscribe to our online edition here
