Monnow Swimming Club are delighted that seven of their swimmers qualified for and competed in the SE Wales Regional Championships 2018, held in Newport over the weekends of 2-4th and 10-11th February 2018.

All swimmers were of a very high standard and Monnow swimmers competed in all strokes (breaststroke, freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and individual medley) and at a variety of lengths from 50m to 200m.

Most swimmers achieved personal bests in their races and over the weekend one bronze (Nanci Edwards for the 200m backstroke) and two 4th places (Nanci for the 50m backstroke and Emma for the 200m breaststroke) were achieved by Monnow swimmers.

Nanci is from Monmouth while Emma is from Staunton and Abi, from Ross, raced well in the 50m butterfly.
