For the first time in 20 years paddlers returned to Symonds Yat last weekend for a national competition. Throughout the summer seven canoe clubs, including the local Wyedean Club, meet on a Tuesday evening to practice their sport. They are often joined by visitors as this is the best location for slalom canoing for many miles.
One club, Cheltenham Canoe Club decided to organise the Return of the Symonds Yat Slalom which took place over the weekend of October 11th and 12th.
