Local dressage competitor, Alice Hurley, has just returned from helping to improve riders in Brazil before embarking on her biggest challenge yet - working at an Equestrian Centre in Australia.
After working at the Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation Centre in the Cotswolds for over eight years, it has taken a very special opportunity to inspire Alice to move to the other side of the world. She told the Ross Gazette this is a move up in her career but there is also the appeal of better weather rather than having to work in all kinds of terrible conditions in this country. She is hoping that the experience will open new doors for her and she is going with a positive attitude but no expectations.
Alice is due to leave on April 9th and although her family and friends will miss her they wish her well in her new life.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
