The latest Pool Competition at the Basement Youth Trust (BYT) took place on November 9th, and winner, Corey Bevan, accepted the trophy presented by Youth Work Coordinator Paul Catten. Corey also received a voucher for a ‘well-known online retailer’.

Playing Pool is one of the more popular activities at the Youth sessions run for teenagers aged 11 – 18 years.

Tournaments are held regularly and friendly competition is always encouraged by the Youth Workers. Other activities available include indoor ball games, computing, music activities but ideas for new things to do are always welcome.

The BYT is a small local charity that exists to provide positive activities for the young people of Ross. It continues thanks to donations from local groups and foundations, together with the hard work and dedication of the youth workers and volunteers – more volunteers are always welcome.

Sessions take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at The Venue, Hill Street, are free and open to all of secondary school age.
