Three pupils from Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls, Sereima Masiwini (Year 9), Katie Schofield (Year 9) and Sarah Omoregie (Year 8), have been selected to compete for South East Wales at the Welsh Schools' Athletics Championships in July. As well as being selected for the South East Wales Team, Sarah Omoregie recently won Silver at the Welsh Schools and Welsh Athletics Combined Events Championships held in Cardiff. Against some stiff opposition, at the age of just 13, she has now progressed into the U15 category. With an excellent finish in the hurdles and a new personal best in the shot put, Sarah finished just 100 points shy of the overall winner.
