The rain and the resulting floods decimated the weekend's sports schedule for the majority of the Ross sports teams. On Saturday, Ross Juniors were without a fixture but Weston's second round Peterson Cup match away at Orelton Colts Reserves, and Fownhope's Senior Cup match away at Pegasus Reserves were both postponed. Ross Juniors Reserves travelled to Wooferton to play their second round match in the Jock Handley Cup and while their match wasn't a victim to the conditions, the result was just as miserable. Ross Reserves suffered a 3-0 defeat. Howle Hill's game in Lydney was also called off.
