Ross got back to winning ways on Saturday building on two good but losing performances in recent weeks. They added some defensive steel which was enough to deliver a 13-10 victory against a determined Cotham Park outfit.
Initial territory and possession went the visitors' way with Cotham pinning Ross back in their 22, but Ross organised their defence well and repelled Cotham's early advances. Ross were then able to build themselves into the game.
Some strong tackling from Casey Morgan, Chay Brine and Ben Chapman put Cotham on the back foot and Ross were able to deliver some turnover ball that half backs, Craig Powell and Huw Bellamy used well. They were mixing up their passing and kicking games to deliver some territory for the home side in the second quarter. Once again the front row of Craig Boughton, Jonnie Baynham and Matt Redman scrimmaged well, and it was from this solid platform that Ross opened their account.
