Councillor Hannah Lerego and her daughter, Olivia, have undertaken a number of charity events over the years for Teenage Cancer Trust, Cancer Research, Herefordshire Young Carers, and St Michael’s Hospice. This involved Olivia scaling Mount Snowdon with her grandmother, two uncles, and aunty.

Next month, the Lerego Team are pulling three generations together to take part in a mudrunner event in aid of Astro Brain Tumour Charity. The family would love your support.

The Lerego Team told the Ross Gazette: “So many people are affected by cancer, and as a family we would like to help, as well as having some fun challenging ourselves.”

Cllr Lerego and her daughter Olivia initially signed up to the event before Christmas just for fun. When Cllr Lerego realised the birth of her baby was due the same week as the mudrunner, she decided it may be a bit too much of a challenge to complete.

Cllr Lerego told the Ross Gazette: “I felt bad that Olivia would have to run alone. So, in stepped grandma Margaret, determined to have a go despite not knowing what to expect.

“Uncles Alex and Felix, and Uncle Max’s wife Emily Lerego quickly offered to have a go too. It is a real family affair. I am very grateful to my family, and can’t wait to stand and watch them all caked in mud.”

Team Lerego would love to be able to provide funds that work towards finding a cure for brain tumours. They appreciate any contribution, and hope Ross-on-Wye will support them.
