Ross Tennis Centre Ladies 'B' team played their last Herefordshire and Worcestershire Winter League match last Monday at home against Worcester 'B' team. The team knew they were in for a hard match as the previous week they had lost 3-1 to same club's 'C' team. Ross first pair, Doreen Griffin and Jane Chandler lost both their rubbers in straight sets, 3-6 3-6 and 4-6, 1-6. Jo Watkins and Sue Humble, playing at second pair also lost both matches, despite managing to take the opposition's first pair to three sets. This resulted in an overall 4-0 defeat, a result that leaves the team waiting to see if they avoid relegation from Division 3.
