Members of Ross and District Motor Sports Club had a busy weekend as the Le Jog (the Lands’ End to John O’Groats) Rally passed through the Weslsh borders.
A large number of club members were required to marshal the event, including carrying out duties such as radio marshal, and time controls on the road.
The Le Jog is still considered by crews in Europe to be one of the most demanding of road rallies, and on the ‘to do’ list of events. The rally is a reliability trial and classic car tour which is open to cars built before 1986.
The Ross Club’s competition secretary, Simon Harris, is competing yet again, and as we went to press Simon was fifth overall and still, only one of four, in gold position.
Read the full report in this week’s Ross Gazette, and don’t forget the annual Noggin and Natter, on December 16th, at the Club House in Kyrle Street, all are welcome.
