Ross didn't let a switch of pitch worry them and they soon went 1-0 up, with their first attack of the game, against Gloucester, a great flick over the top from L Ward, clinically finished by S Warner.

The game was switched to Newent because of standing water at Monmouth. The teams were evenly matched and the next breakthrough came from Gloucester. Just before half time Ross got their noses in front again with a short corner taken by R Jennison and finished by T Walton.

Shortly after the break the Gloucester side came back into the game to make it 2-2. The skies darkened and there was a call from the umpires for lights, shortly after the heavens opened and rain, hail and wind meant that the umpires took the players off the field. Fortunately, it was only a short break before play resumed and Ross scored two more goals, the first another short corner by R Jennison for T Walton to finish, and the second when the ball was held well by J Cross a pass to T Walton who made a great run and then a well finished move by S Warner

Another good all round performance taking the Ross team to fifth place in the League, next week is an away tie at Westbury, where the Ross lads will be looking to build on this good run of form.
