James Weatherhead pledged to complete the Sport Relief swim he started on March 20th in Hereford Swimming Pool.

He wanted to complete 100 lengths and completed 64 on that occasion, but at the time he said that he would finish it.

As part of his training for the Cardiff half marathon, James completed the remaining 36 lengths on Thursday, September 22nd at Ross Swimming Pool.

He told the Ross Gazette that he was very grateful to Halo staff at Hereford and Ross for their support, and congratulated all the other swimmers who took part. He said:?“It just goes to show that if you put your mind to it, challenges can be completed.”

James took just over an hour to swim 36 lengths and completed his 100 lengths in three and a half hours altogether.
