ROSS Rowing Club was full to capacity on Friday night as awards were made to the Junior Squad for outstanding achievements during 2017.

Twenty six awards in total were made to athletes, and a further dozen to the coaches who support them. Clive Snell, rower, ex-President and present-day benefactor and sponsor to the club, was the Guest of Honour and presented the awards.

Parents, athletes, guests and coaches had a wonderful evening to celebrate the achievements of the young rowers. The evening started with a splendid supper enjoyed by all, followed by the awards, games and dancing that went on well into the night.

2018 promises to be an equally successful year following a hard winter of training, and the Junior Squad is looking forward to some warm, sunny weather to accompany the spring and summer regatta season.
