Amelie Welsby, James Flitton and Ellie Beare, who are all Year Seven students at John Kyrle High School, recently took part in the West Midlands Schools Trampolining competition in Cannock.

The students train at Monmouth Trampoline Club every Wednesday and Saturday with their coach Tony Jones and compete in regular competitions throughout the Autumn and Spring terms.

James Flitton went on to qualify for the Zonals, the next round, which took place on January 20th in Hatfield where he reached the second round. Amelie and Ellie also competed amazingly well against tough competition in their group, including other year seven students as well as older competitors.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
