The club is still looking for its first win in this prestigious event, and on Saturday came closer than ever before to achieving this goal.
Men’s Captain, Tim Ball, put in a solid performance in his first single scull event of the year, and the Ladies’ quad of Geraldine Calcraft, Pam Ball, Nicola Wild and Christine Crowhurst continued their crew development with a second place behind a very strong local crew from Upper Thames RC.
Again, the junior single scullers put the club firmly on the map with some outstanding performances from Ben Clatworthy, Lara Banks-Martin, Heidi Brodholt, Daisy Phillips, Cameron Roberts, Emily Hermon, Paige Howe, Beth Morris, Naomi Banks-Martin and Jess Taylor.
Heidi and Ellie Lown, and Katie Smith and Lucy Burden put in very promising performance in double sculls, with Cameron and Ben teaming up very effectively to clock an impressive time in their second division double scull.
