Ross-on-Wye Rugby Club hosted a tournament for local primary schools, with some specialist coaches, at their ground at Greytree on Thursday, February 25th.

Pupils from Ashfield Park Primary School, Gorsley Goffs Primary School and Goodrich Church of England Primary School were all given the chance to play some rugby, and receive some coaching from Patrick Hill, the community rugby coach from the Rugby Football Union, and Sam Verralls, the community academy rugby coach from the Worcester Warriors.

Ross RFC are now in their second year of partnership with the Worcester Warriors, and the club have been able to take advantage of coaching clinics from the Warriors, both at Greytree and at Worcester.

Three young leaders from John Kyrle High School were also on hand to ensure the event ran well, and they also helped to coach the school children.

The pupils were all invited to attend regular rugby sessions at Greytree. Ross RFC are keen to get more children involved with their U10s side. The Juniors train at 10am on Sundays. For more information, visit:?www.rossrugby.co.uk.
