Ross Touch is growing fast, and in addition to these fantastic achievements, is providing opportunities at all levels. Touch Rugby or Touch, as it is known, is a minimal contact sport that is played worldwide by men, women and children of all ages, and is special in that it is played in male, female and mixed formats from social to international level.
It is an athletic team game which emphasises running, agility and ball handling skills such as passing and catching. Touch is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a sport this year.
Ross Touch Centre is a section of the RRFC and started its social mixed touch three years ago. From humble beginnings of five to six players, it now regularly attracts 30 + players to its Wednesday or Thursday night training and games.
With its continued growth, in 2018 The Centre obtained sponsorship from Bradfords Building Supplies and with new kit entered various inter club and regional touch tournaments.
With greater experience and exposure came further opportunities to train and play at elite levels.
The Centre would like to thank its sponsors and supporters, particularly O2 Touch, Bradfords Building Supplies and Halo Gym.
