Ross had a break from league action last Saturday and took on Pershore in the semi final of the North Mids Cup competition. Ross has a proud history in this competition, winning it twice and thy were runners up three seasons ago.
Every team starts the season looking to win some silverware and Ross is no different, and after a convincing six tries to win victory they march confidently into the final.
Ross do not hold regular fixtures with Pershore so did not know what to expect. However, they started confidently and never let their foot off the gas.
Tries came at regular intervals and the result was never in doubt by the second quarter. Both backs and forwards saw themselves on the scoresheet.
At full time, the score was Ross 1st XV 44 - Pershore 1st XV 7
This win sets them up nicely for a top of the table league clash next Saturday at Greytree against Smiths Cheltenham a 2.30pm kick off.
Tries were scored by Matt King, Marcus Barnard, Chris Price, Huw Bellamy, Henry Tilling and Aaron Ryder.
