ROSS Ladies touch rugby team have been turning on the class in two recent tournaments.

They won four out of five games to finish as runners up at the end of May’s SW Midlands ladies touch league at Luctonians.

Ross beat Berry Hill 2-1, Ledbury 2-1, Luctonians 1-0 and Pershore 2-0, with the sole reverse a 5-1 defeat to Bredon.

Then at Pershore on Sunday in the Midlands Ladies Touch League, they won three out of five games to finish sixth overall for the whole region.

First up they beat Five Ways 3-2, before a narrow 2-1 loss to Ledbury.

Then they saw off Bredon 2nds 4-1 to make the play-off group, where they beat Camp Hill 1-0 before juts losing to Stratford 3-2.

Ross were equal fourth on match wins, but the try count saw them placed sixth.

The next local SW Midlands round is a week on Sunday (June 26) at Bredon, with the SW region then visiting Ross on Sunday, July 10.
