Ross U15s welcomed Luctonians U15s to Greytree for their first home match of the season on Sunday, October 9th.

With beautiful sunshine and bright blue skies, it was obvious from the whistle that these two teams were very evenly matched but Ross finished the game with the win.

Very good defensive and attacking play from both sides meant that there was nothing on the board until the 22nd minute when Louis Trotman made a break and scored the first try of the game in the corner for the home team.

Luctonians came back before half time and scored a try which was successfully converted, making the half time score 5-7.

James Aston scored the second try for Ross which was swiftly followed by a second try for Luctonians. The scores were now very close at 10-12

In the final few minutes Josh Lewis out performed the Luctonian’s defence and ran home with a try, which was successfully converted by Ben Pilot.

This made the final score a win for Ross at 17-12.

Ross Rugby Club is always looking for new players aged from four to 14 years, meet at 10am on Sunday mornings at Greytree Ground.
