LUELLA Hay, from Ross-on-Wye, has been selected for the South East Wales Regional U14s hockey squad.

She showed impressive skills during trials in Cwmbran, and was among six pupils from Monmouth School for Girls who have been asked to represent the region.

The region begin their campaign at 10am on Sunday, September 30th against Cardiff and Vale at Rougemont.

The squad have six fixtures during the season, including matches against West Glamorgan on October 28th and South Wales Valleys on November 18th, both at Cwmbran.
