SIBLINGS Keiran and Carys Lowley of St Owen's Cross competed in the Scottish Open Taekwando championships at Greenock, near Glasgow on Sunday April 13th. Former JKHS?pupil Kieran, 17, won the patterns and both the points scoring and continuous sparring in his category. Goodrich School pupil Carys, aged 11, was runner up in her category in the patterns and won the points scoring and continuous sparring. "I am proud to say that they are both Scottish champions," said dad, Ron Lowley.
Carys has been practising Taekwando for four years, the same as Kieran, and attends the Ross Taekwando club at the Larruperz Centre on Tuesdays.
