Luke Jones was at Brands Hatch last weekend riding in the 12th and final round of the MCE British Championships.

Luke, riding his Triumph 675 in the Supersport Class, had practice on the Friday and finished on top of two sessions. Qualifying on the Saturday morning for grid position for the sprint race in the afternoon, Luke was sixth quickest, which put him on the third row.

Luke had a good start and finished in sixth position at the chequered flag. The second race on Sunday afternoon was over 18 laps. Luke was on the second row of the grid and was in sixth place when a rider in front fell and Luke hit his bike and crashed out. This meant that he finished the season in sixth place in the championship.

Next year Luke will be back in the Supersport class and will have a sponsored ride with Colin Applyard Macdam race team, riding a 600 Yamaha.

Luke is very grateful to all his sponsors and is looking forward to next season.
