After weeks of training, St Anthony’s School in Cinderford have been crowned the Forest of Dean Primary Schools Gymnastic Championship 2016 winners.

The event, held at the Forest of Dean Gymnastic Centre at Five Acres recently, saw eight schools competing for the title. A total of 23 children from St Anthony’s took part in the competition, all of which had been working really hard to prepare.

After a long day, St Anthony’s School gymnasts triumphed, achieving many certificates and medals. Three students received trophies for top scores; Isobel Moger at Level 1, James Hadfield at Level 3 and Isobelle Arnottat Level 4.

Coach Mrs Hillary commented: “I am so proud of the students. They all did so well. The effort and determination paid off and shows how much hard work they all put in. Well done.”
