Weston played potential league two champions Bromyard Colts at Weston on Saturday. With several key players missing through suspension, working and injuries, Weston fielded a team of youth and experienced players and only had one substitute to call on. As per their previous match against Bromyard, the visiting team started strongly, passing the ball about in the midfield and creating several chances. But because of poor finishing and Tony Stevens pulling off several good saves, the visitors only scored one goal in the first half. Weston also created several chances with long range shots from Mike Maloney, Tom Salmon and, with Chris Baverstock and Zac Walters working hard up front, they gave the Bromyard defence something to think about.
