Ross swimming club competed in the final round of the Wyevern Galas putting in a strong performance when narrowly being beaten by Pontypool to finish second overall. Ross now move into the final of the competition which will take place later in the month

There were individual wins on the night for, Danny Gabb, Tom Wilson, Trinity Coles, Maisie Tucker, Ben Kershaw, Eve Rawlings, Dale Kernot and Jay Richmond. Also several personal bests were achieved notably by Emily Morris, James Hall and Alex Blake

The event also marked the end of an illustrious association with Ross swimming club for Trixie Pulsford, who started as a pool side helper 37 years ago and went on to become the Head Coach overseeing over 4000 swimmers in her time helping the elite compete at county, district and national level standard and even swimming in the Commonwealth Games. Latterly Trixie has been Chairwoman of the club. For her incredible dedication Trixie was awarded the MBE in 2008 and although will not be as active with Ross will still very much be involved in Swimming in her role with the Worcester Counties. Ross have now moved into an exciting new era for the club having merged with Hereford to benefit from a far more extensive coaching team and greater opportunities to compete at a higher level, the club will continue to swim on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at Ross and still have places in the squad for anyone that is interested.
