SPORTING a hand knitted remembrance poppy on the bow of their boat, Graham Watling and Dave Sykes from Ross-on-Wye Rowing Club, rowed a very strong race at Stourport small boats head on Sunday, November 11th.

Graham set a remarkably solid yet sustainable stroke rate and Dave steered a course that took every advantage of the stream and flow of the river.

The pair have some history on this course that has involved close shaves with trees and tree stumps and even some steel piling but nothing like that on this outing as the pair put on a display of powerful and accurate racing to bring them victory in their class.
