ALLSORTS played last season's champions Usk in the Wye Valley Netball League. Usk are also this season's league leaders and with Allsorts fluctuating form, this was certainly going to be a challenge. Usk took the lead early but Allsorts fought hard and by the end of the first quarter, were only 6-7 down.Centre Emma Gibson has gone from strength to strength in her first season with Allsorts. She dominated the centre court with strong passes and acrobatic interceptions.

Goal-keeper Claire Godwin and Goal-defence Nikki Raine marked the shooters so tightly that the Usk attack had to keep passing the ball back and over the circle looking for an opening nearer the post. This caused Usk to make errors and the ball to be intercepted and passed back up court to the waiting shooters, to quickly turn and successfully score.

Goal-shooter Gemma Franklin had to make some spectacular leaps to recieve some almost impossibly high balls as her opponent was also marking tightly. Both shooters shot superbly and helped their team mates secure a very closely fought victory. Allsorts won 24-23. A great performance by the whole squad.

Goal-shooter Gemma Franklin was chosen as player of the match by the officials.
