Ross and District Motor Sports Club held the February Auto Test on Saturday, February 20th at the Ross Cattle Market in mixed weather.
There was a record turn out of 22 entrants. Eleven in class 1 (front wheel drive), the winner of this class and the overall winner was Richard Jones in his VW Lupo. Jon Halle was second in his Peugeot 205, and Tom Baker third in his Lupo.
Class 4 (rear wheel drive) was won be Adrian Gwynne in his Mazda MX5 and was second overall. Bob Barker was second in class in his Dutton #3 and James Griffiths third in his Mazda MX5. The top novice was Andrew Bridgewater in his Saxo 1.6 and Roger Fellows second in his Ford Focus 1.6.
The production car (driver with passenger) was won by T Elton-Wall/James Elton-Wall in their Peugeot 106. Andi Bray/Louis Bray were second in the Proton Satria with Louis Bray and Andi Bray taking third place after a switch of driver and passenger.
The Club is very grateful to Vic Lockley for organising five stunning tests, as well as to all the marshals and officials.
Ross and District Motor Sports Club are holding their Annual Awards Evening on Friday, February 26th at 8pm. Any Club awards and trophies won during 2015 will be presented.
Award winners are welcome to attend along with their friends and family, to see the presentation. All Club members, friends and family will be welcome. There is no charge for the evening and a substantial buffet will be served.
