Local rally driver Roger Matthews has called his victory in the historic class, at the Brecon Motor Club's Harry Flatters Historic Rally: "the best result we've had all year".

Roger, from St Weonards, and his co-driver, Paul Morris, from Ross, secured a sensational class victory at the weekend, to cap off what has been a brilliant few weeks for local motorsport talent.

On July 14th, superkart racer Toby Davis took the Grand Prix victory in the MSA British Superkart Championship at Snetterton Race Circuit. Both Toby, 22, and his brother Ben, 20, race for, their father Richard's, Davis Racing team, and compete in the 250 National superkarts. Toby's victory means he will affix the GP plates to his kart for the year until he defends this title this time next year. Meanwhile he is also heading the 250 National Championship Table.

Last weekend, the Ross & District Motorsport Club held the Ross Traders Historic Tour where Matt Warren and Cath Woodman won in their Ford Escort.
