SEVEN members of the Monross-Trailblazers took part in the Big Dipper 10k.

Nigel Baker came first out of the Monross team and 9th overall in 45 minutes, Sam Harness came close behind in 10th place. Laura Lelievre came in soon after in 45 minutes 54 seconds and placing 3rd female runner.

Mike Caulfield followed in 46.17 and 14th place, with Vanessa Ball just behind in a time of 47 minutes 28. Mark Scrivens put in a great performance and managed to finish in 23rd place in 48 minutes 40 seconds. Bobby Prichard came in with tired legs after partaking in a three hour circuit session on Friday evening, in a time respectable time of 52.35, giving him a 37th place.

Meanwhile, other Monross-Trailblazer members Gavin Jones and Gerry Meredith took part in the Forest of Dean Autumn Half marathon. The race starts in the grounds of the Speech house, and unlike the spring event, this tends to be a lot more hilly, muddy and challenging. Gavin finished in 1 hour 34 minutes in 35th position. Gerry Meredith also put in a good time on the course with a 1 hour 43.
