Ross-on-Wye Taekwondo (BTKD) has gained three new black belt dan graders, including the youngest girl that instructor Paul Eacok has ever trained.
Paul Darkes is now a third degree black belt, Paul Baker who has also passed his third dan at an incredible 73 years of age and Carys Clarkson, aged 9, is now a first degree black belt.
Their instructor, Paul Eacock, sixth dan, said: “The three of them prove that Taekwondo is very much for all ages. They have trained really hard to achieve their goals and they have really done themselves proud.”
He said that both Paul Baker and Paul Darkes also play a huge part in his training team, helping beginners and higher grades to achieve their goals.
Carys also happens to be the youngest female black belt he has ever trained.
Enrolment for 2018 beginners is open now, classes are on Sundays 5-6pm and Wednesdays 6.30-7.30pm at Tudorville and District Community Centre.
