AN estimated 50,000 people turned out to see Luke Jones riding at Brands Hatch on the weekend in the last round of the British Championship.

Luke was riding in the 600 British Supersport Championship and qualified in eighth place. He had a good start and held seventh before moving up to fifth. He eventually finished sixth in the main race, but was first in the cup race.

Luke's time put him on the front row. In the 18 lap race, his time for the lap was one minute 28.844 second, hitting 98.59mph. Sunday saw Luke get up to the front before dropping back and finishing third. Again, he was won the cup race.

With 11 wins throughout the season, Luke finished 10th overall in the main championship, with a total of 141.5 points, and second in the cup championship with 365 points. Glenn Irwin won with a total of 388 points.
