Ross Cricket Club's Under 11s won a tense, hard fought game of cricket away from home against local rivals Brockhampton on the evening of Thursday 18th July, which secured their place at the top of the South Herefordshire League, ready to take on Bromyard in the County final in three weeks time. The Ross U11s are unbeaten in this league and have played a very high standard of cricket for each of the twenty over games during the season.

Harry Friend and Luke Bond opened the batting and Luke lasted through most of the Ross innings, retiring unbeaten on 31. Harry Friend scored 18 before being caught behind - a fate that befell Ethan Lerego with the very next ball. Ethan was unfortunate, especially as he has recently put a string of good innings together for Club and County, and was very keen to do well against Brockhampton. Sam Williams scored 14, but the home side's bowling was tight and Alexander Springer was unlucky to miss a straight ball when trying to accelerate the scoring. Ross were concerned that 103 runs for five would be difficult to defend.
