Ross Juniors Sunday team made an unbelievable comeback trailing 2-0 at half time and looking a well beaten team. However, they stormed back in the second half to win 3-2 against a classy Barrels team.

The away team started bright and put Juniors on the back foot. The home team was sluggish and always second to the ball. It was no surprise that they went 1-0 down in the 16th minute. Keeper Alex Goode made a tremendous save pushing a thunderbolt from distance onto the bar and out for a corner. However, the corner Barrels scored directly from it. Ross Juniors were really struggling especially in midfield; the only surprise was that it took Barrels until the 44th minute to increase their lead with a superb goal from distance.

At half time the lads knew they had to do something. Ross went three at the back and five in midfield and the game turned.

The passing became sharper and confidence grew. Ross made it 2-1 in the 56th minute an Eli Wooding cross fell to Matt Davies and he drove the ball home from 11 yards.Dan Morgan was causing havoc on the wing and Damon Beaumont was getting into the play and holding the ball up well. The Davies brothers were dominating the midfield along with Rob McAfee and Andy Francis was battling away on the flank.

The pressure on the away defence finally paid off in the 74th minute when a shot from Eli Wooding, from 32 yards, went into the net off the back post. The away team were stunned.

The back three of Liam Davies, Sam Loftus and Carl Roberts were looking very comfortable. Lee Walker was introduced for his debut.

Ross were now camped in the opposition's half and the pressure finally told with minutes left. A Chris Davies corner fell nicely for Eli Wooding to shin home from three yards to make the final score 3-2.

The character and determination shown in the second half from the home side was unbelievable. Instead of feeling sorry for themselves they showed true grit and stuck together as a team to win.
