Numbers were down on last year but 50 brave runners seemed to enjoy the scenic but testing course of the 2012 Upton Bishop Big Dipper. The free tea and cakes at the finish were also popular!
For the men, two veterans had a close race for first with Simon Hall, of Evesham, edging out Cliff Berry, of Ledbury Harriers, in a sprint finish. Malvern Joggers always send a strong contingent and Megan Judge was the first lady home as well as being part of the winning ladies team.
Wye Valley Runners won the men's team led by a great performance from Ross athlete Gavin Jones who was third overall. Upton Bishop Sports and Social Club are grateful to their sponsors Dawleys, Chicory Crops, R P Joinery, Chaseview Veterinary Clinic, The Moody Cow, and Up and Running.
