On Saturday January 5th – after the floods but before the snow - members from Ross Juniors FC and Ross Cricket Club gathered together at Ross Sports Centre to start the New Year with a common purpose – improving their shared facility – the Sports Centre at Wilton Road.

The first task was to clear the parking area of all the flood debris and a good number of Ross Juniors FC parents and children cheerfully tackled that muddy task with rakes, hard brushes and hoses as their equipment of choice and the parking area looked so much better after all their hard work. Huge thanks to them.

Three other tasks were also tackled: clearing out an old stockroom to make some sensible storage space. Several very strong men also attempted to remove a safe which no-one has a key to, or a code for – but to no avail!
