Local kart racing drivers, Stuart Smith and Cam Wheatley, sponsored by Lucas Motorcycle of Ross-on-Wye,  had a very good weekend at Clay Pigeon Raceway in Dorset.

Stuart Smith won the IKR Summer Series Rotax Championship while Cam Wheatley came 3rd in Class in the Rotax 177 series.

The grid of 30 drivers made for some exciting racing, and James Dean Lucas and Brian Payne, the pit crew, ensured everything ran like clockwork. It was a great performance by all.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
