• Phyllis Rawlings had an early hundredth birthday celebration at the Merton House Christmas celebrations on Tuesday December 20th. Though not 100 until January 14th staff at Merton House surprised her with flowers.

Phyllis is no stranger to Merton House, however. In the 1970s and 1980s she worked at Merton House and on one occasion, Christmas 1973, she was Santa's little helper. And at the Christmas lunch Merton House staff had the very same dress to hand last Tuesday.
