The tenth anniversary of The Gresleys Christmas Lights took place on Sunday, December 4th.

Nearly every house in the street has been decorated with an elaborate lights and decoration display.

These lights were turned on at 6pm on Sunday night. This was followed by a short display of fireworks. Visitors could also take part in a tombola, raffles, games and more. Refreshments were also provided.

To celebrate, the residents decided to raise funds for ten local charities: Ross-on-Wye Action Committee, Crohns and Colitis UK, Hope Support Services, the West Midlands Air Ambulance, Ross MS Group, Acorns Children’s Hospice, Jumpstart Kidz, Ross Playgroup, and the Forever House Trust.

Each one of these charities has a connection to The Gresleys residents. The North Gloucestershire branch of the Oddfellows, a local fundraising group, donated a cheque for £900 to boost the residents’ total.
