Olive Lewis, who worked at the Man of Ross Fruit Farm, sent in these photos from the 1981 Pancake Races in Ross-on-Wye. The Man of Ross Fruit Farm stall put a lot of work into selling apples and pears, and all the proceeds were donated to charity.

Ms Lewis told the Gazette:?“We entered two ladies in the race; Dot Goodman came first in the over 50s group, she was presented with a trophy, which she still proudly keeps.

“In the race for the 20+ years, Karen was just 20 when she came in first place, she was presented with a bouquet of flowers.
