At their recent Anniversary Dinner, members of Ross-on Wye Lions Club were pleased to celebrate a total of 50 years of Service from two of their fellow Lions.

On behalf of the Club, President Jenny Symington presented chevrons for 25 years of Service to Lions Nick Dale and Andrew Middlecote, along with a letter of congratulations from International President, Dr Naresh Aggarwal.

Nick and Andrew, who are both former Leos, joined Ross Lions in 1992. They have each held Officer roles and continue to be relied upon for the knowledge and experience they bring to the club.

Nick is currently the Youth Chairperson where he liaises with John Kyrle High School, particularly with the Peace Poster Competition. Andrew has been President of the Club twice, Zone Chairperson and is currently the Club Secretary.

Nick echoes the thoughts of many when he said:?“I didn’t join Lions to be given awards.” but, as President Jenny said, this occasion deserves to be celebrated. Ross Lions Club are proud of the selfless way these two members have maintained their enjoyment of Club membership and the tradition of service to the community.
