Audrey’s Fish Bar in Ross-on-Wye celebrated 50 years of perfect frying with their Anniversary Draw for 2018.
Ten lucky people won special prizes throughout the year and one of the much-loved chippies’ regulars won the grand first prize of fish and chip suppers for a year.
The draw, along with the sale of Audrey’s ‘Bags for Life’ raised £2,854.25 for St Michael’s Hospice.
Graham and Sharon Element took over Audrey’s in 1993 from Sharon’s parents, Ken and Audrey Riches, and wanted to continue the shop’s tradition of supporting their local Hospice.
The Hospice Lottery also benefits from Graham’s volunteer work as a Lottery canvasser, which involves visiting players and helping make ‘Friday Look Grand’ for one lucky person each week.
