Gloucestershire Police have confirmed that there have been further arrests following the murder of a man in Gloucester. The man, 21-year-old Dolton Powell, was killed near the All Nations Community Centre, Chase Lane, Gloucester on Sunday, August 23rd, in the early hours of the morning.

Two young men, one aged 17 and one aged 18, both from the Bristol area, were arrested yesterday (August 25th) on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody where police are questioning them about the death of Dolton Powell.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector, Steve Porter said: “We are continuing to investigate the exact events leading to the death of Dolton Powell in the early hours of Sunday morning. We are actively pursuing other suspects believed to be from the Bristol area and considering the possibility that one or more of these suspects sustained injuries during the events that resulted in Dolton’s death.

"We are asking, as a matter of urgency, for anyone with any information that may help us identify or locate those responsible for the death of Dolton Powell to come forward.”

Of the three men arrested on Monday, August 24th, one, from Bristol, was released without charge and two, from Gloucester, have been released on police bail. There will be further questions put to them on September 15th.
