A window was smashed in a car at Ryeford and then a fire was lit in the passenger seat. The car, a black Ford Focus, had been parked on the side of the A40 at Ryeford, and it is estimated that the incident took place during the early hours of Sunday, December 18th.

The offender smashed the nearside front window of the vehicle and then started the fire on the passenger side of the car, causing extensive damage to the vehicle.

Ross-on-Wye fire crew were called to the incident at 2.54 on December 18th. They used one hose reel jet and two sets of breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire and asked the police to attend the incident; the car had not been abandoned, but left at side of road for sale.
