A motorcyclist collided with the central reservation on the A40 near Whitchurch at approximately 6.50pm on Wednesday, May 22nd, a.

West Midlands Ambulance Service received calls to reports of a collision just before 7pm, and the Fire Service were called at 7.20pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic to the scene. A fire crew from Whitchurch.

One male casualty was treated at the scene, and suffered injuries which the Ambulance Service described as ’serious’.

The road was closed due to a fuel and oil spill following the incident.

The casualty was airlifted to hospital.
