At a lively General Meeting of members and supporters of Hereford and South Hereford Labour Party held on Wednesday, March 23rd, the guest speaker was Daniel Walton, Labour’s candidate for the election of a Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia to be held on May 5th.

Daniel, who stood in the 2015 General Election as a Parliamentary Candidate in West Worcestershire, is 39 years old and lives in Worcestershire with his wife and three young children. ?Daniel studied Criminology at the University of Wales, Bangor, having completed a dissertation on the perception of crime in the media in 1998 before working in several leisure companies and then establishing his own business in the same industry. He has experience of handling multi-million budgets and is well versed in financial administration.

Daniel told the meeting that only a Labour Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia can face up to the problems that our Police Force are confronted with.
