Crews from Ross-on-Wye and Whitchurch Fire Stations were called to assist a man in the River Wye at the Rope Walk yesterday evening, Friday, January, 24th.

The crews were mobilised at 21:17 to attended a person in the river. One man was found in the water and rescued by the Water First Responder Team (WFR Team) and crews administered trauma care assisted by members of the West Midlands Ambulance Service. He was then taken to hospital for further checks.
